OK for the price
We chose and paid for an upgraded room but there was really no difference between our room and the standard room that we got for our kids. The location is close to the shopping and sights of Ennis. No air conditioning in the rooms and it was a bit muggy.

A great location in Ennis
The Temple Gate Hotel is located right off the old town area of Ennis. There are lots of shops, restaurants and pubs within easy reach. It’s a comfortable hotel and has its own restaurant, which is a plus. The only difficulty is locating the parking through the maze of one-way streets. I’d get directions from the very friendly, helpful hotel staff.

Great hotel in Ennis
We stayed at Temple Gate the last two nights of our stay in Ireland. The location is great, right in Ennis, within walking distance to shops and pubs. Our room was large and quite comfortable. The hotel has both a pub and a restaurant. We were especially pleased to see the security. Public rooms were open to all, but you needed to swipe your room card to access the corridors to the rooms. Only downside was the difficulty finding the parking lot when we arrived, but there are signs posted pointing the way. We were tired and missed them. I will definitely stay here again on future trips.
