Cant wait to go back!!!
I had a great time! The hotel accommodatins and staff were great and friendly. The resort is great. Everything you need to keep you busy and entertained during the day is right there on the property. The free shuttle to the grocery store and into Port Lacaya was great! The beach is absolutely beautiful. Ive stayed at other resorts in Freeport, but I will return to Island Seas.

Dont be scared
Before taking our trip, I read some reviews and I was scared. Dont be. The Island Seas is great. Now granted, Im 28, and lived in a fraternity in college, but overall the hotel room was very clean. We had an incredible view of the canal, though there may be views that are not as nice, but it really shouldnt matter. There was a kitchen, with stove, table, couch, 2 tvs, dvd player, and a front and rear balcony. The rooms are across the street, but its not a big deal at all, because the resort is so isolated that it still feels all apart of the resort, plus it is really nice to be able to walk right onto the beach, as opposed to our friends that had to take a cab to get to the beach. We ate at the hotel restaurant, and at Bikini bottoms, and I will say that the food was pretty good, but the service for both were incredibly slow. The beach was great, no waves though, lounge chairs at the ready, and a 2 for 1 happy hour from 4-6 was a good way to start the night. Free rides to port lacaya were also nice. The service was pretty good too. We only ever asked for 2 things, towels, and a pot for spaghetti. Both were delivered within 30 mins. We heard the stories about the time-share and just told them that we were meeting friends the next morning and that we would come back to reschedule. We never did, and we were never bothered about it again. We also didnt have to pay the $15 per night fee. Great resort, great place to stay, and I would definitely go back again.
Traveler's tip
Dont forget your sunscreen, its $20 a bottle. Cab ride from the airport for 2 people was $22, home from port lacaya was $12. bring your own alcohol, youre allowed 2 litres. A 30 pack of 16 oz bud light was $60.

One of the Worst for Service and Cleanliness
We stayed at the Island Seas Resort 8 nights. Check in is 4pm, our room was not ready until 5:30pm. At check in, you are directed to the high pressure time share presentation sign up, then to the check in desk. Our room was filthy. You do not want to walk barefooted in the room. The mattress was very uncomfortable, severely sunken in the middle. Coconut Restaurant & Bar has very good food, however the prices are quite expensive and the service almost nonexistent. A 15% gratuity is automatically added to your food bill as is $15 tax per person, per night. The front desk personnel and the time share sales personnel were the most standoffish and rude people that we meet on this entire Island. Pros: On site laundry facility at no charge. Beautiful beach location. There is a small convenience store on the property. The clerks are very nice.
