Great smaller hotel on nice beach
Madera beach is as nice as any in Zihua. Hotel location is convenient to town but not in it. Hotel has friendly and helpful staff and property is clean and unique. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again.

A little piece of paradise and visual delights
The moment the taxi dropped us off the staff was present and gracious. Our room (I suspect all rooms) offered the most panoramic view of Zihua Bay and was filled with the kind of Mexican charm I remembered from my first trip to Puerto Vallarta in the late 70s--the heavy plastered walls, tiled floors with inlaid pebbles, hammocks, bancos, heavy wood bureaus and tables, high ceilings. The oversized balcony offers two chaises WITH slipcovers, a hammock, a soaking spa, shade and sun. All amenities (AC, water pressure, bar refrigerator, etc.) worked, fresh bottlesof water daily, good quality linens, excellent happy hour deck (oh, Fernando) and a wonderful direct beach-front restaurant with great service and delicious food. There is really no reason to leave the charm and comfort of Brisas del Mar unless you want a different dining, swimming or shopping experience. Cheap beers for your in-room fridge directly across the street! Go and stay for a long, long time.

Would definitely return.
Location is ideal for short walk into Zihua. Excellent restaurants (all price ranges) in close proximity to hotel. Small convenience stores directly across from hotel. Next time booking room with jacuzzi on patio only slightly more in price but supposed to be worth the upgrade according to Canadian couple we met @ the pool. Hotel guests were very friendly that we had a chance to visit with by the pool. Hotel quaint, but lots of stairs, which we didn’t mind. Pool & beach area nice. Staff very accommodating. We were very pleased.
Highly recommend La Casa Vieja Restaurant down the hill & to the right of Brisas del Mar.
