Great location on the boardwalk.
High quality accommodations on the beach and close to shops and restaurants. Stayed here over 4-day weekend and only used our car twice. Free self-parking in garage across the street connected by covered walkway. Next to Neptune Park and small stage where live music played close to the hotels outdoor bar and seating area. Only one complaint -- the hotel staff didnt give us complete information at check-in and it took some digging to discover that they provide free towels for the beach and a free token for renting a beach chair each day. Overall this was our best-ever VA Beach vacation.
Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks
Dont buy anything before stopping at hotel activity desk and getting a free coupon book for discounts at numerous local stores and attractions. Irish pub 1-block away gives $5 off your bill with a coupon. The Jewish Mother restaurant also one block away is great for lunch but dont go there for looking for a quick breakfast -- very good food and ample quantities but kitchen was very slow.

Best hotel in Virginia hotel
The Hilton is the nicest/newest hotel in VA Beach. It is towards the quieter end of the boardwalk, right by Neptunes statue. Our room was clean and the design was modern. We didnt get nightly turndown service with our type of room but were neat so it wasnt too bad. There is a park right next to the hotel where they played nightly concerts. It can get loud inside your room if youre on the side of the park, but we didnt mind. We were usually enjoying the music from our balcony or were out of the room. There is a pretty rooftop infinity pool but its very small - can get crowded in the summer when there are tons of kids in it. Also, there were a limited # of lounge chairs so if you didnt go early, there wasnt a place for you to sit and put down your stuff. There was also an indoor pool that was a little bigger but we didnt make use of it. You have to use your roomkey in the elevator to get access to the pool. We didnt have any problems with it but saw many other guests who did. Catch 31 (in the hotel) was a great place for lunch. The hotel also does a fireworks show twice a week but it didnt happen during our stay due to inclement weather at night. Too bad as we wouldve really enjoyed that.
Traveler's tip on dining
We stopped by the concierges desk to get suggestions for dinner. They gave us coupons (buy one get one free) for lunch at restaurants owned by the same group that owns the hotel - Catch 31, PIzzeria & Rockfish. We used them all. Also, Mahi Mahs served really good food. Its a 1.6 mile walk down the boardwalk... but you can reward yourself with Dairy Queen on the walk back.
