$10 cab ride to downtown.. maybe not worth it?
This hotel was absolutely terrible. When we first showed up there were police outside arresting some men for who knows what. Then a women (who I assume was a hooker) approached us asking for a ride because her "boyfriend" was one of the men getting arrested. The man working the front desk was nice enough. Our room was fine for just getting ready in but I had to wear flip flops in the shower and was a little weary about sleeping in the sheets. Overall, it was nice being so close to downtown, but I think next time I will spend the extra money and stay in a nicer area.

Clean and comfortable on a budget
This is not the Ritz...but for the price it was fabulous. We only booked 1 night because of the price we were concerned it would be a dump....it wasnt the best place weve stayed or the worst. After our first night, we booked the rest of our stay right there with them. The hotel could have used a remodel..and the bathroom could have used a remodel...but the room was clean..clean sheets..no stains on the carpet...fresh towels and soap everyday. No coffee maker.(two gas stations across the street had fabulous coffee)..no hair dryer but the tv worked and we had a king size bed. The office was locked most of the time. However, if you rang the bell, they were quite responsive and took care of your needs. It really felt more like a hostel than a hotel, you were pretty much on your own, with backup. I noticed quite a bit of road noise but it didnt bother my boyfriend. We found a great asian restaurant close by (Sidewok Cafe)...they were friendly and the food was great. The cleaning staff at the hotel was there everyday and took care of business. The hotel is in the area called the Highlands with 2-3 higher priced hotels next door. For the price...the Budget Host Inn was great....good location....staff was on site.....close to town and good coffee next door.

Convenient & Affordable
Great price to stay downtown. Had an amazing view of the city and it had everything I needed for an overnight in the city.
