Kid-Friendly Hotel But Food Not Good
The hotel was a great place to stay for two single moms with girls age 7. The basic room was very nice complete with a fridge and microwave. The water slides were the best part for both children and adults. A blast!!! It was fun getting on the intertubes. Also fun - was the arcade game room. Standard stuff. The Thanksgiving Buffet, however, was horrible, and the price per person was not justifiable. Something was wrong with the microphone, because during the nightly book reading for kids at entrance, we couldnt hear the reader, so we did not partake. The biggest rip off that we did not do was the wand system, in which you buy a pricey wand & game to get started, costing around $35 per child. They wave the wand on interactive items spread out through the hotel. We did not budget for this, and, frankly, it was a rip off. It would take many hours to complete. We all liked the experience at the hotel. It was family-oriented. But dont expect single guys to look at in the hot tub. Families only.

Great Wolf Lodge KC
The water park was fun, but smaller than the Great Wolf Lodge we used to visit in Wisconsin. Rooms OK, pillows hard as a rock, nothing fancy. Neighborhood nice, Legends mall nearby was great with many places to eat.

Great place but high price
Lodge was nice & water park was very clean & well maintained. Room was spacious, clean, and quite luxurious, bathroom needed a little maintenance. Extra activities for kids were great and innovative. Only real complaints were that it was VERY expensive (we even got the least expensive type room & got a discount through expedia), and it was crowded. Kids were running loudly in the halls all night. Overall was a nice place though.
Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks
I heard there is a Hampton Inn right down the street that has a nice water rec area & is a lot cheaper.
