Great location
This was a good place to stay, well-appointed room, good pool and beach area, helpful staff. Only concern is they charged an extra $7 to our card after we left, and I have yet to find out why as we took nothing from the room. We were concerned after reading that they charged another guest for something he didnt take, and hope this is not some sort of scam. They did not contact us about it, which is poor form.

The hotel was great but the rooms are individually owned so be careful!
The hotel itself was really great and the staff was amazing. The only problems we had were the the room we stayed in was owned by someone and the hotel reents it out for them. The owner had turned on the electricity just prior to our arrival so the refridgeraor was not cold and the TV and stereo were not hooked up. The AC ended up not working so we got moved to another room. A little inconvienent but the staff made it easy and upgraded us! Just dont stay in room 310!

Wish I had known....
This hotel was o.k. for the price...compared to some of the others. The location is pretty good at the quiet end of ocean drive. There are a few decent eateries close by. The roof top pool was nice. I was disappointed by the lack of attention we received regarding a non working safe and deadbolt. We asked them about it twice and still not fixed. One thing that was nice was access to the sister club Hilton bentley which is 5 blocks down. You get free towels, umbrella, chair through their beach access. The most annoying thing though was they charged us $16 for a hotel logo hat that was "supposedly in the room". I had to call and argue several times before they finally said they would take the charge off. My suggestion is that you take pictures and note all of the minibar items on the counter/drinks in the fridge etc. All things considered I will visit south beach again but stay at a different hotel.
Traveler's tip on dining
Watch out for the lunch specials..make sure you see what the food looks like first...they can be a ripoff. They automatically ADD gratuity to your bill at any eatery you go to. Sounds like they have no incentive to provide good service if you ask me. If you are not happy with the service you will have to fight the 15% gratuity.
