Excellent Summer Retreat
Not only is Telluride beautiful but the Inn at Lost Creek gives you the best of a 5-start like hotel and country hospitality. The Inn itself is a beautiful structure and the rooms are just great! The summer rates were great and looking into their skiing packages, it is a super place to stay for a winter visit. Staying here, you never have to drive anywhere. Everything is within walking distance - very short walking distance - and the gondola to Telluride is quick and a scenic wonder. All I can keep saying is it is a perfect location that hit on everything I was hoping for and more during our summer retreat. I cant wait for the winter!
Traveler's tip on dining
There are a number of great spots nearby so make sure to ask the concierge. They are very helpful. There are enough utensils/pots/pans in the kitchenette to put together a small meal for two. Probably more suited to breakfast or lunch but a good way to save a few bucks if you bring your own food. The fridge, however, is really small so bring your icy cooler.

Who siad that a Bad Economy is all bad?
That the economic climate is tough, that the Telluride airport has been closed for repairs this Summer, and that this is truly a destination resort, over five hours from a major urban center means deals are to be found in this, one of the beautiful oases of North America. This 32 room inn is immaculate, gorgeous, and the staff, exceptional. That it is 3 minutes from the Gondola, FREE public transportation for the entire area is a huge plus. The Inn at Lost Creek is one of the true gems of high-end lodging, and the Expedia price was oh, so right.
Traveler's tip on dining
Allreds at the top of the ski Mountain has one of the better mountain views anywhere, but go for great drinks, not to dine. The cuisine is not at all bad, but not fantstic; much better is to be found at Cosmopolitan, Le Marmot.

Convenient to everything
We loved our room at the Inn at Lost Creek. All the amenities were wonderful. I really liked having a washer and dryer in the room. Summer time is a great time to go. Enough activities to keep busy but quiet enough to be relaxing.
