Not exactly what we’d hoped
We chose this hotel hoping that it would not be overrun with children - they have a bar, no kid activities, etc. It seems to be a chic, modern place (unlike most surrounding hotels) and has a great deck with heaters and a fire pit. When we were there it was overrun with small children running crazy on what would have been a peaceful deck. They brag about their Tempurpedic beds, but then they cover them with thick feather beds which basically eliminates the foam benefits. I think it is probably the hippest place to stay in Pacific Beach, but we’ll go to another area next time.

I stayed at Tower 23 for a three day vacation in San Diego and I enjoyed my stay there very much. Staff was friendly especially the room service. The hotel is located in a great spot where its only a 10-15 minute drive to either the Zoo, Downtown San Diego, or Sea World. The best part is the beach, Mission Beach, is right at your doorstep. The rooms have a beautiful view of the beach as well. The room itself and bathroom were very clean as well. Overall my stay was their excellent and I cannot wait to go back.

A great hotel
The hotel was fantastic. It was a little pricey, but definitely worth it. The restaurant downstairs, JRDN, was very expensive and seemed quite pretentious, so I opted to steer clear. All in all, I would suggest Tower23 and will stay there on future visits.
