Great location, decor, but...
This hotel is beautiful, and the location is terrific. I was excited to hear they put in a couple Microsoft Surface machines for their guests to find local attractions on, collaborate, etc....but when we stumbled upon them, there were people just playing checkers and chess. Kids love these, but basically they are just an expensive game table. The air in the room was so dry when I was there, it was almost painful to breathe. I had to run the hot shower for 30 minutes just to make the humidity level bearable inside. I would go back to this hotel, but only in the spring/summer months.

Great View But Pluses & Minuses
We stayed here a year ago and felt that the rooms had lost some quality since then: a tilting floor lamp, shower never got beyond slightly warm. The room was clean and the beds comfortable. Because of its location near the river with one-way, dual level and dead-end streets, it is challenging to find, even with a map. The views of the Chicago River are great. Nice neighborhood, tho. Easy walk to the Magnificent Mile, shopping, restaurants. Great deal on the room, but watch out for add-ons: wi-fi in the room is an extra $13/night (its free in a cafe area on the lower level of the lobby), you pay to use the health club, and parking is $49/night, with in-and-out privileges. Still, thats Chicago. We would stay there again and maybe find cheaper parking elsewhere.
