Everything about this hotel was 6-star. The friendly and helpful staff, the room, the location, and everything else could not have been better.

Christmas at The Shel
I often travel to Dublin and have stayed at several hotels, I love The Morgan in Temple Bar but it was closed for the holidays so I booked myself into The Shelbourne, The Hotel in Dublin, it has been operating since the mid 1800’s and it sits opposite St Stephens Green in the center of town, near loads of great shops on Grafton Street. I walked into the lobby of Christmas Eve and it was like being on a movie set a film about Christmas in Dublin- so festive and warming. I stayed for a few days and loved the folks who work there, Helen and Marta at The Front Desk were lifesavers for me when I had a problem with my ATM. The bar and restaurant were delightful and my room was very comfortable...love The Shel, will go back Christmas 2010 for sure.
