Great hotel, not so great customers service
This was our second time at the Mahana, we love the rooms, the view and the beach! But the front desk staff is less than friendly. One woman (the younger one is very accomadating), but the older woman on both years we have gone is terrible. She doesn’t aknowledge you exist even when talking with other hotel staff. My husband and I noted as we left, no thank you for staying with us, hope you had a good trip, have a safe flight home........wierd??? I wonder if she treats the owners this way. Aside from that, we love these condos. I would return, despite this drawback because I cannot imagine a better view!

Absolutely loved it!
We stayed in suite 509 - a 2 bedroom oceanfront. The view was FABULOUS. I mean - breathtaking actually. You could hear the roar of the ocean all day and all night - it was so soothing! Eating breakfast on our lanai every morning was just incredible. And the Mahana is located in our favorite part of Maui - Ka’anapali - the upper West side - near some of our favorite beaches. We recommend this property without reservation and hope that we can get back again sme day soon!!!!
We saved a bundle by enjoyign breakfast at home on our lanai - you couldn’t beat the view. Then we used the saved funds for activities and incredible dinenrs and shows. We absolutely love the Maui CHarters Four Winds II snorkel trip to Molokini - if you love to snorkel DO NOT MISS IT. Road to Hana is most fun in your own car - don’t get trapped in a bus. Rent a car, get adventureous and go have fun.

You can’t beat the ocean view!
You can’t beat the view and from every room you can let the sound of the surf ease you into a wonderful night of sleep. The only downside is that there is no bar or food court in the lobby, but restaurants, coffee shops, and a full grocery store (that is superior to Safeway 4 miles down the road) is a five minute walk away.

Camp Kaanapali is offered to children ages 5 – 12. Camp activities include a variety of Hawaiian cultural and outdoor-based activities such as hula dancing, ukulele lessons, beach exploration, lei making, sand art, kite making/flying, swimming, scavenger hunts, games, arts, and crafts. Both day and evening sessions are available. One-time registration fee of $10 per child includes a t-shirt. Daily rate of $25 per child includes meals. Registration must be made 24 hours in advance upon arrival at the resort. Registration is held daily at 8 AM at the Camp Kaanapali Center in room 135. Camp Kaanapali hours are Monday – Friday (with the exception of major holidays), 8 AM – 2 PM. Friday evening sessions are 5 PM – 9 PM and include dinner. Space is limited to 16 participants per session. Children who are ill may not attend.
Note: Camp Kaanapali is located at the Aston Kaanapali Shores and is available to registered guests of all Aston properties on Maui.
