You can’t go wrong
We first stayed at the Elliott House in 1998 for our honeymoon. While it may not have quite met our expectations on this return trip, nevertheless it still remains one of our favorite places in Charleston. It could not be more perfectly situated for exploring the charm and history of this wonderfully preserved gem of a city.

elegant and friendly place
The staff was very helpful (they even called the airport for us when we found we’d left our credit card there). The room was very pretty, and in the garden wine and cheese were served in the afternoon.
Traveler's tip on local attractions
It was close to some great shops in Charleston and to some wonderful restaurants, and even within walking distance to the Fort Sumter cruises.

Rooms were a little on the small side, but comfortable. Parking in Charleston SC is costly as there are few hotels with on premises parking ($20/day)
