A good choice in Goleta
We were at the Best Western South Coast Inn in October ’09. It is a nice hotel with beautiful grounds. The room was well furnished with table, extra chairs, fridge and microwave. The sink area was separate from the bathroom which is convenient. And, they actually had some pillows firm enough to support our heads! Even so, it was not an overly large room; there wasn’t much extra space to move around. The neighborhood is fine and there is a big shopping area just a few blocks away. Also, there is easy access to the freeway. The breakfast area is spread out well enough that service is not so crowded and the food was good. The egg and cheese omelets were very fresh. Only downside: There aren’t many tables/chairs inside. Normally with the weather they have, eating outside is not an issue but it was chilly and (surprise!) rainy when we were there. The only complaint about the room was that the door was hard to shut effectively. This meant something akin to slamming and I heard several others with the same problem. On the positive side, at first we thought the latch was defective and told the front desk; someone was there to check it almost instantly. We would have no problem staying there again; it compares pretty evenly with the Hampton Inn in Goleta.

Very nice accomodations for a Motel Room
For a Motel Room this was very comfortable and the price was right also. aside from the King Size Bed , we had a sofa, microwave, refrigerator. would definitely recommend and the best place to stay near the Santa Barbara Airport and the staff was very helpful about directions etc. the breakfast looked great, too bad we had an early flight.

Can’t wait for my next trip
In all our travels it was the best room and the hotel grounds are beautiful. You almost didn’t want to leave the hotel to site see.
Traveler's tip on local attractions
Make sure to eat at one of the restaraunts on the pier the food is excellent and there is always something interesting happening on the water and on the beach.
