Extremely unimpressed
It looked like this hotel was built in the 1960, and that nothing had changed since. There seems to be no upkeep, and the rooms are very cold and impersonal (with cigarette burns on the sheets). They took a potentially nice ocean view balcony and glassed it in - this made sitting on your ocean view balcony like sitting in a hot, musty car on a sunny day with the fogged up windows rolled up. The pros: The receptionist was a very pleasant lady, and the location is great. I would have expected to pay so much for a room of this quality. There are many nicer places to stay down there for the money.

Best off-season beach time at the Outer Banks!
Long time visitor to the Outer Banks, first time stay at the Sea Ranch. It was a great girlfriend trip before the rush of the holidays with our families. This hotel was centrally located on the beach road near shops and restaurants with great specials and clearance sales. Our oceanfront glassed in balcony was a pleasure to sip wine and gossip! I’d stay here again!

View was great
the only good thing I can say about this hotel was the view was amazing! The hotel itself was a little in disrepair and the cleaning staff wasn’t too good. I felt the room was overpriced for the quality of service and the condition of the hotel itself.
