Much better than pics on internet
I was absolutely blown away by their attention to detail. I thought this was the best resort I’ve ever stayed at. The staff was great. The amenities for the kids were wonderful. I loved the fact it has its own shopping center. So you don’t even have to leave the resort to do your souvenir shopping.

Exceeded all expectations
We had previously stayed at the Barcelo Beach and enjoyed the hotel and beach, but this fall only the Barcelo Colonial and Palace were open. The Colonial exceeded all expectations. The resort was less than 1/2 full, yet everything was well-maintained, there was plenty of staff on hand, and food and service was excellent and plentiful. Off season pricing was great. Go!
