Excellent choice for relaxation
If youre looking for a place to hide away and relax in St Lucia, this is definitely the spot. While not terribly convenient, the hotel offers almost everything you need. The two pools are lovely and have plenty of seating. Breakfast is generous, and while we didnt eat dinner on-site, there are some convenient spots to grab some yummy food (including the Marina Village, which is just a short walk past the boats). The "beach across the bay" is small and not very pretty, but you may not need it if you enjoy the pools. The staff is friendly, willing to accommodate, and generally knowledgable about the island. Remember to research alternative transport options -- the hotel does offer to take you where you want to go, but you can probably hire a local taxi driver for much cheaper. All in all, I would definitely recommend this hotel!
Traveler's tip on dining
Eat with the locals -- their food is much more creative and absolutely tasty. Be brave! And be forewarned that the island virtually shuts down on Sundays. Plan ahead.

Could have been better-Not an insider select.
I was a bit disappointed at the hotel. The service was great sometimes and unfriendly at others. Even though the hotel is new, it is already showing signs of decay. It seems like it was built with cheap materials. A local St. Lucian told us that it was put up in a hurry. There was also a log of miscommunication. The menu said that the Hurricane Hole restaurant was open until 11 pm. When we showed up at 10 pm, they said it was closed. When we asked, we were told it was a mistake. Things like this happened often. Staff members did not seem to know what was going on. All in all it was good but there are many opportunities for improvement.
Traveler's tip on local attractions
Even though it is expensive, splurge for a private tour of the Rainforest. It was unbelievable and we were away from the crowds of cruise people.

Wonderful Hotel, a few drawbacks
Discovery at Marigot Bay was fantastic. The hotel, staff and pool were all incredible. The breakfast was wonderful as well. The ONLY drawback was the fact that once you were at the hotel, you were kind of stuck there. It was extremely expensive to take a taxi anywhere beyond the resort. in addition to the two hotel restaurants, there were two other places to eat, but they were expensive. It was very difficult to explore St. Lucia without a car. If youre going to stay-put, this is the place to go. If you want to explore the island, rent a car.
