Great Location and Views
We spent 3 nights recently here. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the room was clean and pretty comfortable. The location is very good, right off the 1,2, and 5 tram lines. We were on the 4th floor facing the canal, and on Friday and Saturday nights it was really loud outside until about 4am with people in the streets and the trams but overall I would recommend this hotel.
Just enjoy walking around the city.

The most comfortable beds ever!
This was a very comfortable hotel but I do have two quibbles. One is that breakfast was not included and it was ridiculously expensive. We were the only guests in the breakfast room, and if we werent leaving as early as we did, we, like the rest of the guests it seems, would have chosen to eat elsewhere. Our other problem was with the desk clerk the night before. We asked him to make a reservation for us in a restaurant we had passed during our stroll, but when we got there, we found that he had written down the wrong name and address for our cabbie. That cab ride cost us a lot by the time we found our restaurant. He also told us that our car rental place was about 4 blocks from the hotel. Thank goodness that it was pouring rain and we got a taxi. In fact, it was clear across the other side of town, and thankfully the cabbie knew where it was. The clerk was very nice, but I dont think he knew any more about Amsterdam than we did! However, we both had a fabulous nights sleep on the unbelievably comfortable beds. We dreamed about those beds the whole time we were in Belgium!
