Love Hawaii

We had an amazing stay at the Outrigger Waikiki. The room was a bit small but you can’t beat the location. Hotel staff was very friendly and they upgraded us to a partial ocean view room, which I definitely recommend. We took part in their free vow renewal ceremony on our actual 5th anniversary and it was a very special and beautiful ceremony. I highly recommend staying here.

When 1st arriving I was a little worried because we arrived at night and it was very hustle and bustle around the area where the hotel was located. But I found that the hotel was extremely secure. You cannot access any room floors without a key in the elevator and there are no stair access from the outside except to the pool area. The rooms are very clean and everything was very well maintained. There was a gentleman cleaning the vents in the lobby every day. The only draw back was the jacuzzi and pool are located right by the restaurant. The hotel is located across the street from the International Market which is great for those little gifts you may want to pick up. I would definately recommend this hotel and would stay here again.

Service, friendliness, location and comfort were of the utmost best. We will definitely return. Used the Auto Valet Service and will absolutely use it again.

You could stay there a year and never eat at the same place. Not one place disappointed me. Exquisite cuisine!

Would stay here again

This is the second time that we’ve stayed at the Outrigger Waikiki...love the location, the beach, and the restaurants, especially Dukes. And if you get the included breakfast, you cannot get a better deal.

the best trip ever

we planned this trip for over a year. It was even better than expected. Steps from the beach, the marketplace, shops and dining. Staff was great, helpful and friendly. Would go back in a heartbeat.

Awsome hotel and prime location

Loved the hotel and all the ammenities. You have the iconic Duke’s in the hotel along with Hula Girl wich has a great happy hour and another steak place all overlooking the beach with great sunset views. Great thing about the location is you can leave the car at the hotel while checking out everything along Waikiki. Staff was everything you could hope for.

Amazing Experience

We will definitely be staying at this hotel again when we go back to Hawaii. The staff was very friendly and went above and beyond to make our experience the best it could be. We checked out early but didn’t need to be at our next stop until 8pm so they watched our luggage and gave us a comp room to get cleaned up before we left. It was one of the very best hotel experience I’ve ever had.

Great Hotel, great room, wonderful view!

We were very glad to have chosen this hotel, it was great! We were only there 4 nights, but it was wonderful. The view from our 5th floor room was really great, the sunset from our balcony was spectacular. Staff was friendly and nice, room clean and comfortable. Would recommend this hotel.

Great Place to Stay

The Outrigger Wakiki was great as usual. The only thing I really noticed was in the bathroom the tub was repaired or painted and it looked real bad. It worked OK, but this is the first time I saw something kind of trashey at the Outrigger

Pleasant stay

Hotel has a desirable spot on the beach.Shopping begins right out side the front door. Rooms were clean and well maintained.Being in the heart of Waikiki meant a lot of pedestrian traffic, but not unmanageable. If you want to be away from crowds, shopping, restaurants and bars, Waikiki isn’t the place for you.

Love this hotel!!

Right on the beach. Close to eateries, shopping and anything you want to do. The staff was incredibly helpful in accomodating wheelchair requirements. We have stayed here before and will continue to stay here.

Check out Jimmy Buffet’s place. It’s right across the street. The drinks and food were outstanding.

The hotel was very nice and right on the beach. It was a very nice place to stay at and there I have no regrets. I would definitely stay here again the next time I go to Hawaii!

Over all the serive of the hotel are great!! I just do not like the internet for the room that not working and they been checked twice for me and still not working. This area i think they able to improve.

Wonderful location!

We had a wonderful stay at the Outrigger. They were very accommodating as we wanted a different view and queen or king size bed. All of the staff were friendly and so helpful. The breakfast in the Hula Grill was delicious and I looked forward to morning every day!!!!

Only bring the minimum clothing... you will and can buy everything thing else you need and want... and it is all within walking distance of this hotel.

We loved the Outrigger on Waikiki

We went with our 7 year old son and had the time of our lives. The hotel entrance is right across from the main entrance of the International Marketplace and within walking distance of so many great stores and restaurants! We loved the service on the beach with umbrella and chair rentals and purchasing floats for the water, only $5 just to the left of the hotel as you are entering the beach area. Catamaran rides, canoe rides, surfboard lessons (complete with photographer to capture the moment), I swear, honestly you could never leave the hotel property and have a blast. Great restaurants and amazing service. We will be going back there again on our next trip to Hawaii! I want to thank Jeff of the staff from the beach crew, he was very polite, helpful and customer service must be his middle name. Thank you sir!

The hotel was great and was ideal for us as we had two teenagers with us... great for a family holiday and Duke’s bar was the best.. would definitely go again...

Great if you want to be near the shops and the beach at the same time.... transport was easy to many tourist attractions... book from the street as Hotel prices were more expensive.. and don’t belive them when they say you will swim with the dolphin’s in the ocean... it’s a scam...Sealife is your best option...

Hotel On The BEACH!!!

The OUTRIGGER WAIKIKI was a fantastic place to stay for my first visit to Hawaii. It sits on the beach and you have access to it(the beach) through the lower lobby, so you don’t have to travel very far to go surfing, swimming, etc. In fact, you never have to leave the hotel (except to go out through the lower lobby to the beach). If the hotel was a house then the beach would be its backyard. There’s also a swimming pool on the property but I didn’t use it. If you add in the free breakfast vouchers when you book the room, you get a choice of three places to eat. We ate at Hula Grill and the breakfast was top-notch. You get coffee, choice of fresh fruit or orange juice (I had the pineapple), and then your choice of a breakfast entrée like eggs with bacon and toast or waffles etc. Delicious and great way to start your morning. Also, the Hula Grill has a balcony that overlooks the beach, so you get to eat good food while enjoying a fabulous view. The Outrigger is in a good location, sort of in the middle of all the stores and stuff, so things are in walking distance and you can just come down to the main street level and people watch for hours. Definitely recommend it!

Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay

Don’t bother doing the "Hard Rock Cafe Orientation-Free Breakfast" thing. It’s a waste of time. You get coffee, juice and some muffins, but the HardRock Cafe is not open for business--so you can’t order anything. The rest of the event is just to sell you activities if you haven’t booked them already. You get a discount, but I don’t know how much.

Wonderful hotel...great location...beautiful rooms...fabulous beach. Definitely would recommend it to others!

Not a 4-star hotel....

Hotel is in a great location, if you like action and be able to walk to the beach. But terrible if you prefer quiet and relaxing setting, or if you have to drive. Hotel seems to be pretty old, and some items in the room need major update (including the bathtubs and sliding windows to the patio). Our sliding windows to the patio wouldn’t close all the way, so the noise leaked into our room whole night. The walls are thin, and couldn’t sleep couple of nights because the people in next door were talking until 5:00 AM. For it’s age, hotel is kept in pretty good shape, but I wouldn’t stay there again unless I get a 3-star pricing.
