Under Construction
It was exactly as expected...being renovated. There was a lot of construction but a good stay for the price. Great location and views from the tower rooms. Would definitely recommend the Italian restaurant, especially a booth near the window.

The Tropicana
The Tropicana was a nice place to stay for just sleeping there, because let’s face it, people are gambling all day and night anyways in other hotels. The ambiance is kind of old, the furnishings are old and you can tell the gambling floor had old machines and tables. But I did enjoy the fact that there was live music playing while I played video poker. It is also located at a convenient location to the Excalibur, the Luxor, the MGM, and the New York New York Hotels. I do advise this hotel if you are looking to go to Las Vegas on a budget.

One of the best deals in Vegas
During the recession many hotels are giving good rates in Las Vegas. The Tropicana is giving really great deals, and they are located right in the middle of The Strip close to everything. By the end of 2010 they are renovating the entire hotel and all the rooms, so things might change by then. But for now, its worth it.
