Very quiet
Stayed here before when it was the Chateau Sonesta. Still high quality for the price. The rooms are very quiet, do not hear any noises from outside. Just a few minutes walk to Bourbon St., and our favorite place Acme Oyster House. We will be back again in the next year!
Acme Oyster House, eatem raw as fast as they can shuck em. Cafe Dumonde - Chickory coffee & Beignets. Very tasty, watch out for the powered sugar!

kind of disappointing
We stayed there Monday thru Saturday. Our room key card did not work properly the whole week and we noticed that it was happening with a lot of other people as well. On Wednesday my personal shower cap and face cloth was missing. Thursday morning after a few phone calls they bought and brought me a shower cap. Never resolved the face cloth issue. On Thursday they neglected to clean our bathroom. On Friday they pulled the bed covers up and did not change the bed. I called Friday evening to ask if I could get the bed changed and the ladies showed up with bath towels. They finally came back with bed linen. The front desk clerk appeared to be aggravated when I called to ask for weather info.

Great place to stay!
This is a really great hotel - it was very clean and very pretty inside. The room was very comfortable and quiet. It is is a really great location - very close to all the action without having to be in the middle of it. And what everyone said about the beds being extremenly comfortable is very true! The only "bad" thing I would say is about room service. One morning we decided to have breakfast in bed and ordered in room service. We shared a plate that all the normal breakfast foods on it for $26. And the food was pretty bland - not bad - just bland. I would recommend walking to a few local places for breakfast!
