Stay here!
We trusted expedia reviews( again) and were thrilled with the Sofitel. Lovely room- a bit small, but elegant, newly refurbished, clean with very comfy beds. Small walk-in closet. Lovely bath. Hotel staff exceptionally nice and helpful. Very quiet, safe street in gorgeous neighborhood, in the heart of Paris! Couldn’t have picked a better location! Walk to everything-bring good walking shoes-(no athletic shoes or you’re pegged as an American!) Metro nearby and very efficient - never had to wait for a train. We took the Eurostar (chunnel) to London and stayed at the Sofitel there. Fabulous trip!!
Buy a Paris Pass- free entry to Museums etc, free access to metro, buses, cruise on the Seine. If nothing else its nice to not have to stop and purchase tickets all the time. Skip lines and waive your pass for entry!

Great hotel, Great location!
My boyfriend and I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights during my first trip to Europe. Paris is beautiful and this hotel was so much nicier than I expected. The bed in the room was very comfy and the bathroom was very nice and updated. The staff at the front desk were very helpful and everyone spoke English which was a plus considering neither my boyfriend or I speak French. The only bad things I can say about this hotel are the restaurant is very pricey, so if you’re looking to save money, don’t eat here. This is hardly a problem though because there are plenty of other places in the area, including a cafe right next door. Also, the internet is ridiculously expensive. Those are the only two negative things I can say. The location is great, it’s right near the Seine, the Concorde Metro stop and the Jardin de Tuileries. We were extremely happy with our stay here.

Great Hotel and Greater Price
Luxurious and superbly located. A bargain in the best sense. (But the hotel bar is not worth it . . . .)
