Close to Cruise Terminal and CanadaLine
I was taking a cruise, and this hotel was right across the street from the cruise terminal. I was not familiar with Vancouver, and this made it very convenient. You can also take the Canada Line train from the airport and there is a station across the street also.
Traveler's tip
There is a small shopping mall under the hotel where you can find something to eat, a newspaper, bottled water, etc. I recommend Ricks Diner. Very good inexpensive food.

Great Hotel
the hotel stall was very friendly and gave us some great tips as to dinner and our subsequent visit to Victoria. we were very satisfied with our room and in particular the fact that the hotel transferred our luggage to the cruise ship the following morning. A big plus.
If you are off on a cuise, this is the hotel to book. Not only is it less than 50 yds from the point of departure, the hotel transfers your luggage to the ship for you. AS great service.

Top-notch room and location
This is a high-end hotel and I was very happy with it. The location is lovely and an easy walk to shops (Urban Fare!) and restaurants. Room was well-designed and comfortable. However, having to wait in line to be seated for the very expensive breakfast buffet was annoying. I chose instead to visit the shops in the basement and get my breakfast from Tim Hortons. And high-speed internet (which costs extra) should be wireless; being tethered to the desk was inconvenient.
Traveler's tip on shopping
Food Court and souvenier shops are accessible in the basement of the hotel; great for a quick snack or browsing. Walk to Urban Fare grocery (the local equivalent of Whole Foods) at Cordova and Bute for healthy snacks and meals, or any forgotten sundries, aspirin, etc.
