Great Stay!

Staff was helpful and friendly. Seemed to be a newer hotel. Ate at the restaurant that was a short walk through the parking lot. Excellent food!

Sanity Saver

This is a great place to escape the sanity that is Las Vegas. It’s clean, quiet, and comfortable. I enjoyed being outside in the hot tub and sitting by the pool as the sun set. People were very nice, but a bit misinformed. We were told breakfast began at 6:00 but on the weekends it’s actually 7:00 which didn’t work for us as we had a flight to catch. This hotel is located about 6 miles from the airport. All in all, a great place to stay when you’re in Vegas, especially if you’re like me and find Vegas overwhelming.

Business travel

Wonderful front desk staff...friendly and curtious. Room was clean and tidy, except there were some "former" food crumbs on the sofa- that’s what notched it down to a 4. Great shower and comfortable bed.

Don’t worry about finding a place to eat around there, because there are only about 1 million places.

Clean and Comfortable

The Wingate staff were friendly and courteous. The rooms were clean, comfortable and spacious. I was pleased in all respects.

Excellent hotel

Our room was very nicely decorated/furnished and always very clean. We enjoyed the free breakfast each day. There was a large variety of items from which to choose and this was a big money saver for our family. Each request we made of staff (extra towels, rollaway bed) was promptly and cheerfully handled. I would highly recommend this hotel.

Great Beds

One of the most important things for us when we stay in a hotel is a good bed. A good nights sleep is very important when you are traveling. The beds at this hotel were very comfy and we had a great nights sleep. The room was very large and roomy.

Very comfortable.

We were pleasantly surprised with the location and newness of this hotel. Very friendly and helpful staff; Nicely decorated large room with microwave and refrigerator. Convenient peaceful location near shopping and restaurants, but not too far from hub bub of Strip. Very comfortable beds with lots of thick fluffy pillows. Great full breakfast included in room rate. Only complaint would be A/C somewhat noisy.

Great place!

We needed a hotel close to the St Rose Dominican hospital and this was a great find - just a couple of blocks away. Very nice and accomodating staff. It was super clean and very up to date and nice rooms. Ample parking and easy to get to shopping and dining. No problems encountered and I would definitely stay here again.

Fantastic small hotel in Las Vegas...

Couldn’t ask for a nicer hotel...it is convenient to the freeways, no casino to walk through, room was very nice and the breakfasts were very good. Definately will be staying again.

Nice Business Hotel

Location is the reason I stayed at this Hotel, It provided everything I needed. The staff was friendly and helpful. They had a very nice breakfast that was included. The two things that didn’t impress me were. 1. they didn’t make up my room each day and 2. You have to put your room key in the slot to get the air condition to work. When I would return to my room it would be very warm and stuffy. It always took awhile to cool down the room. The the air condition really didn’t work that well. So the room was always a bit stuffy.

Good place to stay with kids

Made a trip with grandkids and it was nice to not have to traipse through a casino to get to a room. We did have a view of ’the strip’ even though it was some distance away. The Gkids were especially glad that they could still see the Stratosphere. The breakfast buffet (which included bacon and eggs) was a great way to save a little money while getting the day started. The staff all seemed friendly, courteous and efficient. Definitlely worth a repeat stay.

Excellent and Affordable

This hotel was fantastic. My boyfriend and I went on vacation and decided to come here instead of staying on Las Vegas strip. The free breakfast in the morning’s were great and really helped with saving money on food. The restaurant in front of the hotel is GREAT! They are friendly, the food is FANTASTIC and very affordable. We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone. The rooms are clean and comfortable; the staff is friendly and helpful. The only downside is that if you forget to bring toothpast or a toothbrush, you will have to buy it in their sundry shop however walmart is 5 minutes away, so you can go there!

Far out from Strip, but safe

This hotel offered all the amenities - microwave, fridge, parking, breakfast, free parking. It was far out from the strip (relatively speaking) but comfortable. A little on the pricier side, but we felt safe and could relax and recuperate. Would stay again.

Liked it there

I was surprised that the buffet breakfast...I had expected just coffee and donuts, instead, make your own waffle, breads (muffins, bread, bagels) juices (orange, apple, cranberry) fresh fruit of apple, orange and banana and cereals along with coffee, and tea. The room was very clean..the only problem, was I didn’t know how to work the heater, which was turned on by the card in the wall socket and the air filter in the bathroom.

Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks

Trader Joe’s was just nearby and I ended up mailing 3 flat rate boxes on Saturday via USPS, which was right next door to the hotel, and my boxes arrived on Monday in Hawaii.. which was great since I was overweight by 3 lbs on my luggage via UAL’s and struggled to take out something at the counter but still got charged for 1st baggage fee of $15.00

Would definitely go back

The staff was very courteous and professional. The continental breakfast was a nice touch to wake up to every morning.

Traveler's tip on local attractions

If you have the time, take a four hour trip to the Grand Canyon. Very breath taking if you’ve never been there. If you have small children, keep a very close eye because there are no fences or rails in some areas.

Peacein a noise city

This hotel is an smoke free, casino free, noise free, the perfect escape if you really want to rest in Vegas.

While the hotel is not easily apparent from the main road(especially at night)it is conveniently located off the strip. The rooms were clean and the overall service was exceptional. The staff was very accomodating in every area. The free buffet breakfast was plentiful and good. The pool is small but since it is underutilized this isn’t a problem. No casino and no smoke suited me fine. The staff informed me that smoking is allowed around the pool and out on the balconies.

Rooms have small refriderators and microwaves. There is a convenience type store right next to the hotel.

Good Choice

If you want a place away from the hustle and bustle of normal Vegas ... Henderson and the Wingate are a good choice. Hotel was very quite on weekend and weekdays. Rooms in very good shape and maid service was excellent. Good view of the valley and the strip at night with a north facing room.

Loved the Hotel!!!

It is super nice, super clean hotel!! Will stay there everytime I go to Vegas! I go for business alot and this was a nice place to stay to get away from the hustle of the strip but still stay close to the covention center.

A place of quiet retreat from The Strip

This hotel is ideal if you don’t mind the journey in to see the sights of "The Strip" and if you prefer more personal surroundings than the huge hotels that are like mini citadels. The staff will advise you on travel if you don’t have a car (all the hotels on "The Strip" have huge, free car parks). We had a great stay and enjoyed the opportunity for chill out days between trips.

The hotel is adjacent to a 24/7 Bar and Grill which from the outside looks completely inactive but when you get inside served good, reasonably priced food (check the specials) in the resaurant and ambience at the bar. If you don’t have a car the Hotel has courtesy car and the friendly staff will take you to one of the nearby restaurants and shopping mall (within a six mile radius).

Good deal for the money

This hotel is 10-12 Km (6-8 miles) away from Strip but if you rent a car this becomes irrelevant. We requested suite with balcony facing north so I took some awesome photos of Vegas at night. Swimming pool is bit small but water is clean and if you decide to stay at it during the day you’ll be alone. Unlike most hotels in Vegas it is non-smoking throghout.I would definitely go back.
