nothing to complain about
Very nice hotel. No Complaints. Comfortable bed, nice bathroom, friendly staff. Didnt need to ask for any special requests, but appreciated verification of room keys when coming back to the hotel at night. Very close to everything. You do not need a car.

Royal Sonesta next time
The Inn on Bourbon seems so intent on making sure that only their guest enter the hotel that it is actually more of a hassle than its worth to stay there. I would understand if it were a Mardi Gras or a holiday weekend, but nothing was going on in the quarter, it was dead. We were required to show our key everytime we entered, and as much as you go in and out of your hotel while walking on Bourbon, this was a pain. We had friends at the Royal Sonesta and they did not encounter this inconvenience, but the Sonesta had very adequate security in place, and overall theyre stay was much more enjoyable and much less of a hassle. Also, the Inn on Bourbon halls smelled like cigar throughout. Did not give me a feeling of the hotel being clean.
