It was OK
For the money, this hotel was a good deal. It was centrally located and very near the train station. The downside of the hotel was that the room was fairly small. My window overlooked a busy street which didn’t bother me but might bother others. The breakfast buffet was average. My major complaint was that I was traveling with a bicycle and when I asked the staff if there was a safe place where I could put it off of the street, they didn’t have a clue. It’s a good thing that bikes don’t get stolen in Sweden like they do in other countries or mine probably would have disappeared that night.

hotel opera
Very central location to many of the cities best activities. The room was very quiet, though a little less decor than most. I understand they are remodeling the hotel. The buffett breakfast was wonderful with a good variety. I think that I would stay here again...especially since major renovations are underway.

This hotel basically sits on the corner of Nordstand mall....with entrances on both sides.

There are better hotels
Few hotel options available in the week we wanted to stay so the Opera became the only "no move" option. Good location apart from slightly seedy street outside (changes in 50m). No aircon and poor blinds meant little sleep in the middle of summer. Small room for the money with few modern services. There are better options for similar money.
