Perfect location
We booked a 1 bedroom suite and couldnt have been happier. The location was great. Just blocks from the bay and less than 5 minutes to walk to downtown. Plus there was a great grocery and a couple of more "local" (ie non-touristy) venues in the neighborhood again within walking distance. Top notch service from the staff for our 3 night stay! There was also a nice lounge/restaurant downstairs, but we spent most of our dining hours outside of the hotel. I saw the reviews of the air conditioning, but took the risk that we were going in September and we would be just fine. Well it was almost 80 one of the days we were there. Tbere are windows to open plus a balcony with two doors to open - we stayed plenty cool throughout the night.
Traveler's tip on dining
Two tips for places we loved. 1. We enjoyed the Canoe Brewery on Swift Street. They have an amazing patio overlooking the water, great beer, great wine plus the food was fantastic. The inside was gorgeous so I would definitely visit summer or winter. 2. The Reef also had great Jamaican themed food and drinks. We went mid-afternoon so I cannot attest for the place during full service, but we highly recommend the yam fries and house curry dish.

We could have moved in!
Three of us were visiting Victoria to celebrate Moms 80th Birthday. Our suite was extremely comfortable as well as attractive. We all loved the clean lines and elegant design of not only our suite but the lobby and dining areas as well. The staff was gracious and helpful. The location was perfect for our visit with easy accessibility to the main downtown streets. We had a car but it is not necessary. After our day of exploring, we enjoyed the quiet (we were there on a Tuesday night), the balcony views, and chatting at the beautiful granite bar in our room. The pull out sofa bed was comforable, too. Our experience here was excellent; stylish, very comfortable, and gracious. Loved it.
Traveler's tip on local attractions
Butchard Gardens was the highlight of our trip. It was beyond what we expected to see, esp. the Sunken Gardens! We enjoyed the "tea" in the dining room for the overall experience though the food was a bit diasppointing. Special entrance price savings at gate for those celebrating 80th Birthday and one companion. Super Deal!

Warm, Personalized Service
Fantastic Location The Oswego, a tastefully decorated boutique hotel, is located only two blocks from the Ferry terminal on a tree-lined street in a quiet neighborhood. The Empress Hotel, Inner Harbor, Government Building, Gray Line Tours, and museums are only a 5 to 10 minute walk from the hotel. Personal Service Staff members did not rush us during check in and actually brought us water for taking pills. Another staff member patiently explained the intricacies of Canadian cable television usage. We dined in their intimate bar and dining area both nights of our stay. We chose from a series of small dishes, beautiful to look at, delicious to eat complemented by a number of excellent wine choices. Feels Like Home This was my 2nd stay at the hotel and I will happily book with them again. I feel very much at home there.
Traveler's tip on local attractions
Ask your concierge about taking a water taxi on the Inner Harbor to a local restaurant. The drivers are also tour guides. The experience is unique.
