Location: A+; everything else: C
The advantage of this hotel is its proximity to the airport (<10 minutes door to door by shuttle) and that it has a free shuttle to and from the airport, departing regularly. When you get to the airport, just go outside and you will eventually see the shuttle, which comes every 20-30 minutes. No need for a reservation. I stayed somewhere else (Nile Hotel) for most of my vacation. I chose Novotel for the last night because I had an early morning flight and didn’t want the stress of getting to the airport on time. As it turns out, Cairo doesn’t have a lot of early morning traffic because businesses tend to open later than they do in the U.S. The lobby is nice enough. The hallways are pretty shabby, with a nursing-home feel. The room is standard and was clean. There is no business center with Internet access. If you bring your own computer, you can plug it into a wired (not wireless) connection for a rather high fee. I did this to check-in online to my flight. There is no public printer, but the check-in staff offered to let me email the PDF of the online boarding pass to them, and then they printed it for me. A fairly decent continental breakfast is included in the price.

I had everything I wanted
I needed a place for sleeping early at evening, since I had to be leaving to the airport at 4:00 in the morning, and I can say that I had all I wanted. The shuttle was exactly there at that time.
