great experience
For our first trip to Cabo we couldn’t have been more pleased with Cabo Azul. We were a little thrown by the entrance, which was a little hidden, but learned that they were working on a new street front entrance. That will be a very nice addition when they are finished. Our room was great and beautifully decorated. The pool(s) were amazing and everyone was extremely friendly.

Cabo Azul is a excellent choice for a family trip to Cabo
Cabo Azul is quite a nice Hotel/Villa. Half of the property is not finished (the hotel), but the time share Villa’s are complete as are the restaurants and Pool. The staff was professional and helpful, the food was quite good and reasonably priced. The don’t push the time share purchase option to hard , but if you take the tour, there is a nice discount on food for your stay. We booked a one bedroom villa which was fine for our family of 4 (two little ones who slept well on the sofa bed. Finishes in the Villas are very nice, virtually new. Marble bath, full kitchen. One bonus is it’s location, just 10 minutes from the Airport in near San Jose, so it’s 30 minutes from Cabo San Lucus - but this made entry with kids easy. Some of the Villas are quite large 3+ bedrooms and are priced compeditively. Beach is nice, three teered pool is fabulous with 3 different water temps and swim up bar to enjoy your favorite beverage. This is certainly a 4+ star place.

Time Share Experience
The Hotel is new and in excellent condition. It is located in San Jose del Cabo. The grounds are beautiful as are the 3 pools but this is a section of the beach where you cannot enter the water due to severe currents!! This is a red flag area always. Additionally the lighting in the rooms is atrocious. You cannot see in the cabinets to put your clothes away even during the day! The food and beverages are very expensive at the hotel restaurants/bar. And you are almost a captive audience as there are no restaurants nearby. And then there is the timeshare presentation. We did not know this was a timeshare hotel and were surprised. Of course they offered incentives including a discount on our car rental so we went to the presentation. We were there for 3 hours! And did not buy.... While we had a lovely time we will probably not return.
