Ok for an overnight stay
It is a 2 star place...but its near Downtown Monterey, which was part of my reason for choosing it.
Traveler's tip on nightlife
I checked out the restaurant Lalapalooza during this visit to Monterey. Cool place! Nice atmosphere, lots of people, good food. I’d go there again!

Not impressed
Easily accessible- the room we got was old but clean. One of the lamps did not work. The people at the reception were impersonal. They have some "cookies" + coffee in the morning in the reception room and they call it breakfast! It is less than the snacks. It is cheating. It is better to state that they do not offer breakfast.
