Best Condo Vacation in the Big Island

Our stay in this place was wonderful. It was home away from home. The two bedroom unit had all the modern amenities including a washer & drier inside every unit. It was quiet and peaceful. The staff was very accommodative and friendly.

Traveler's tip on local attractions

If you are buying grocery, there is a little shop in 1/2 mile. But very expensive. Milk was $8/gallon! I would recommend buying necessities from Costco which is about 20 min from the resort. Definitely do the ATV tours & Hawaiian botanical garden tour. Those are the best. If you are interested in helicopter ride, one of the vendor is right in Waikoloa with in 1 mile from the resort. If you are interested in seeing lava flow, make sure you have good flash lights!!!

perfect place for some peace and quiet

we stayed in one of the ocean view 2nd story two bedroom villas. it was only the two of us, so we had lots of extra room, but no complaints. we watched the sunset every night and enjoyed the fact that we barely saw another soul there. we only briefly went to the pool once and the hot tub is nice, but when you’re on the big island, you really need to be out exploring and trying out the dozens of public beaches. maybe it was the fact that we went the first week of september, but we seriously barely saw any other people. our unit actually had a grill on the private patio, so we went grocery shopping and had wonderful meals every night. overall, i can’t say enough about this place...after a day out and about, it really was like coming home!

a nice alternative to the ’packed in like sardines’ hotel

Being a time-share condo rental, there were no crowds, here. Very peaceful. The grounds were meticulously maintained. Condo was well equiped for our week stay (with kids). The whole gated-community thing, though, is kind of weird.

Bring fewer clothes. This place has a main-floor washer and dryer. We ended up washing the bathing suits and towels daily, so kept up with our own clothes, too. Less to haul on the plane.
