Great rooms with views of the canal
This was one of our favorite hotels in Italy. The view of the canal from our room was really authentic. The rooms were small and so were the beds, but overall, wed stay there again. Their breakfast was very satisfying.

Clean and tidy, but rushed
The check in process, hotel room, breakfast service were all straight forward, clean and efficient. The only drawback was being rushed at checkout time by the cleaning staff. Check out was midday, and they started knocking, opening the door etc. from 10:00 a.m. I found that a bit off-putting. Otherwise, a central great place to stay.
Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks
Regarding travelling around Venice, try to purchase a daily vaporetto pass. It is worth it. We saved over 10 euros each per day. For the gondolas, try to book one away from the central canal. The prices are cheaper. On the central canal the price of a gondola ride was from 100 to 150 euros. Much cheaper on the smaller canals.
