style & grace
We have stayed at the Beacon many times upon our return flights to San Diego from the Keys. It is always a great visit, even if it is only for 1 night! Great service, cordial, not uppity, clean and... romantic. Love it, cindy & mike, san diego

Very bright and clean.
A great hotel, staff was very responsive, freindly and polite. Extremely clean everywhere, people always cleaning working. Looked recently updated, especially the room / bathroom which were very nice and modern (large flat screen tv)--and the bed was sooooo comfortable!! Hotel is conveniently right across the street from the park leading to the beach. Two minor problems: 1) The mini bar had an item opened when we got there...the door was broken and would not shut, we reported it immediately but it was not fixed over the two days we were there. We were not charged for the item so it was ok... 2) Our door access did not work on the second day so we had to go down each time to request someone let us in-mildly inconvenient. Apparently the battery was dead so only a master would work.

Very good choice for South Beach
You cant have a better location than this hotel right on Ocean Drive, for this price ! Staff was very helpful and the Valet Service is convenient. Rooms are quite small but well designed and of quality. Breakfast is served in the next door ’cafe’ so that you can enjoy some people watching on their way to the beach. Really feels ’Miami Beach’ ! The most active bars and clubs are one block away, the perfect distance to walk back ’home’ without the trouble of the noise. We’ll go back.
