Great View

This hotel has amazing ocean views from from your room. The pool, and beach are very nice, easy to access and clean. The hotel dining service is horrible. There were very few guests when my wife and I stayed and the service at the Bar and both the restaurant service was terrible. The servers in the entire restaurant at the hotel where lucky the tip was already added to the bill. It took over 20mins for us to get a bill for cereal. The guy had one other table!!! Service at the restaurants aside the location is good, the beach and view are amazing.

I want to live in this hotel on Seven Mile Beach!

This was our first visit to the Caymans and it was great. The Marriott is on a wonderful stretch of the Seven Mile Beach and they have made the beach so accessible. The chairs are all set out on the beach and there are plenty of umbrellas so everyone can find a spot and be comfortable. The pool is right on the beach although most people took advantage of the beach. And the beach is powder, not sand. And the rooms are great, as well as the service. One thing - the Caymans are expensive in general, and the food and drinks at the hotel are no exception. Bring plenty of money!

Downtown Georgetown is now mainly a Cruise ship haven, populated mostly with very expensive jewelry stores. I would not take children to the "fun" downtown restaurants like Senor Frogs or Margaritaville, since they get wild when the Cruise ship is in port. In other towns those are nighttime party places, but the Cruise ships only stop during the day and that’s their biggest business. The Turtle farm is the greatest place for adults and kids. They’ve done a great job of laying it out and they let you hold the turtles and you can take plenty of pictures. We did not go to the Stingray place but I understand it’s very crowded and it scares the younger children.

Exceeded our expectations

We really enjoyed this hotel, and hit a great one. It is at the end of seven-mile beach nearest Georgetown, so it is centrally loacted and easy to get to. The service was first class. Avis rents cars right in the hotel lobby, and they’re happy to assist with anything you may need. The beach is very nice, western-facing for beautiful sunsets and the snorkeling on the close-in reefs is a real treat.
