Cheep at the Beach
This is a nice older hotel only 1 block from the Santa Monica Pier and the beach. The pillows were the hardest pillows I have ever used. The room was run down but clean. The breakfast was muffins, coffee, and orange drink (not pure juice). Still for the price it was a good deal.

The room smelled like Urine and cigarette smoke.
The room smelled like Urine and cigarette smoke, out side the room it smelled like the sewer/trash. I hardley slept because of all the noises coming from the alley behind the hotel and the ice machine. There were not enough parkign spaces for the rooms there. The location was nice.

Would not stay here again
It started as soon as we got our keys and entered our room to discover the maids laying on the beds eating lunch and watching TV, and went downhill from there. Poor condition and cleanliness; bugs, hair, stains on beds/floors, etc. And to top it off, on our last day there, the desk clerk told us we could not keep our bikes in the room because "the maids" said a tire left a mark on the wall. How they noticed an "additional" mark on those disgusting walls is beyond me. Furthermore, the other tenants were drunk and disorderly all night long every night we were there, yet nothing was done by management to handle that situation. Would like to state very strongly that I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.
