Great Hotel
I have stayed at the Melrose numerous times over the past five years and it is the only hotel I will stay at when Im in Dallas. Young and all the other staff members allways make me feel like Im their favorite guest (they even remember my dogs name from the few times hes stayed with me). The room service is the best Ive ever had, alowing you to select anything from the Landmarks dinner menu (I always get the seasonal soup). The rooms have also recently been redone and look great with big flat screen TVs. The Library is also great for a early cocktail or a nightcap. I wish I was there right now!

I love this hotel
I visit Dallas every year, and this is my favorite hotel. Its in Oaklawn, right next to Uptown, where I grew up. Its a fantastic part of the city with great restaruants right outside. So, the location could not be better. I didnt eat at the restaurant in the hotel. It seemed kind of snazzy. And most of the people hanging around in the lobby were all dressed up, nicely. Im more of an average Joe, and dont feel as comfortable among all that pomp and circumstance. This hotel is very nice. Its a historic landmark, and you will find attention to detail, everywhere you look. Its always been the Melrose, but recently became the Warwick Melrose. It seems there was a transformation since the last time I stayed here. Before, it had what I would call "old world charm". But now it seems to have retained much of that charm, with a lot of nice updates. The rooms are immaculate. Everything is updated. There are two flat panel TVs in the suite. Theres a small bar. It was fit for someone famous. The staff was pleasant and friendly. Most importantly, the bed was very, very comfortable. You can block out all the light with the nice drapes. I was sleeping till noon a couple times, because I had no idea how late it was.

Great Hotel - Wish Internet Was Free (parking too)
Ive stayed at this hotel off and on for over 20 years. My recent stay was the first time in several years, and the first time under the Warwick parent. I was very happy that its not lost its charm. The staff, without exception, was exceptional. My only "complaint" is the fee-based high-speed Internet access, which I believe should be free. Valet-only parking gets a little expensive too when youre tipping in and tipping out plus the per-night charge. But Ill still gove back.
