Buena Vista Palace
The Buena Vista Place Hotel was chosen for a business conference my husband was attending. After looking at their website and seeing how supposedly kid friendly the hotel was, we decided to extend the business trip to a family vacation to Disney. The hotel when you first check in looks great and the bell staff and front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. That initial good impression was lost when we opened the door to our room. Their website touts that it’s been recently renovated and there did seem to be newer furniture and linens; however the carpeting, drapes and upholstered furniture were worn and dirty. When I went into the bathroom, there were spots on the wallpaper that easily came off when I wiped them. Also, there was a gross hair in the corner of the bathroom that remained there our entire 6 night stay. The beds were comfortable and the linens were clean. As far as the kid friendly amenities - there is a playground that my little boy described as lame and there are no kid friendly restaurants in the hotel for dinner although they do have a small kid’s menu for in-room dining. The best part of the hotel is that it is within walking distance of Downtown Disney. They offer free shuttle service to the Disney parks and Wi-Fi in the rooms that is included in the resort fee. If I was just there on business, it would have served its purpose. But I would not choose this hotel as a family vacation spot.

Perfect getaway
The entire staff was very nice and helpful. The room was comfortable and the balcony was a fantastic spot to watch the fireworks. It is across the street from Downtown Disney. Can’t wait to go back!
