Great Location
The InterContinental had everything we were looking for. Great location, right on Cannery Row. Rooms were spacious and spotless, comfy beds , nice shower, AND Starbucks coffee in the room! We recommend paying the extra for the included breakfast deal,food was great and the view from every table at the restaurant had a water view. Do note that the hotel has 2 buildings , the they are connected with an elevated enclosed walkway, but the back building has very small Juliet balconies overlooking Cannery Row, not a full balcony to actually walk out and have a seat on. Parking runs $17 per day , and the garage is behind the hotel, not attached, Overall we would definitely stay here again.

Great new place in Monterey
Best bed we have ever slept in. Great bar and bar tender. The view from our balcony was very good but not as good as we were led to believe in the web-site. Only the most expensive suites actually face the ocean. All the rest face the Bubba Gump Shrimp restaurant, although you can still see a good portion of the harbor sideways from your balcony.
Traveler's tip on getting the most out of your stay
The Aquarium is less than a block away and less than a block from there is First Awakenings, a great place for breakfast or lunch. The Fish Hopper, also within walking distance, is a great place for dinner. The food is much better than the first impression of the place.
