Didnt match the ratings
We stayed in the superior room on the south side over looking the parking lot.Would not get a room on this side because car alarms went off constantly when the bus went buy.We picked bucutti because of the ratings.I would call this a 3 star hotel not a 4 like whats rated. Was kind of disappointed in the room. The buffet in the morning was pretty good but the dinner menu didnt have a lot of choices and was very expensive .We ate at other places near by.Service at the sand bar was pretty slow and on the beach to get drinks. The beach is what this location is all about. Its absolutely beautiful. If I go again I would probably book at a nicer 4 star at least. This hotel is kind of rustic in the older building. Not sure about the Tara Suites if they are any better but in my opinion this hotel is priced to high for what you get. They have a reputation of being green and that includes hardly ever changing your room towels and sheets unless you ask.If your planning to go here go with very low expectations and you will be pleasantly surprised.
Go to the grocery store to get your drinks for the beach. We took a soft ice chest that folds down with us and it really came in handy.

One of the best resorts in Aruba
Some people like the high rise resort area, but to me it is way too crowded and you can always take a quick cab up the road if you want to try those restaurants, casinos, and beaches of the high rise area. The low rise area is perfect for those who want to relax on a non-crowded beach, and Bucuti is in a great spot for that. Breakfast is complimentary, and its a quick cab ride to almost all of the good restaurants on the island... when I go back to Aruba this is the first place I will look to stay at, and I definately will be staying in the low rise area.

The best choice!
The hotel is extremely well maintained, spotless clean, with the best service. The servicing staff are very dedicated, but in a very relaxed way to make you feel comfortable. The hotel beach is beautiful like a postcard, quiet and relaxing.
