Definitely one of the best
The Econolodge that I stayed at was extremely nice. I was expecting it to be dirty and small, but I found it very clean, enjoyable, and roomy. Definitely on par with a lot of the more expensive hotels that Ive stayed in. I would definitely stay there again given the chance.

Clean and comfortable
The hotel is very well maintained - older property but very clean, quiet, and comfy. The room was large with a dividing wall and two TVs - something I appreciated traveling with three kids. One word of warning - the manager is a bit odd. My two daughters (age 15 & 9) went to the office to ask for an extra blanket. My oldest was going to sleep on our air mattress on the floor - leaving the two beds to her siblings and I. The manager didnt want to give them the blanket stating repeatedly that there were "two beds for four people" - "no need to sleep on mattress, two blankets on each bed - that is enough". Well, he didnt consider that teenage brothers and sisters dont exactly want to share a bed. He then accused them of having extra people in the room and insisted that he would check the room and charge for the extras. He made them very uncomfortable and nervous. To be fair, there does seem to be a bit of a language barrier and I dont think he completely understood the request. Still, I didnt appreciate his manner with my children.
Traveler's tip on dining
The neighbor is completely charmless - the hotel is next to a car lot. BUT, the area is loaded with restaurants to choose from. Many on the same main street as the hotel. We especially loved a little hole-in-the-wall Japanese place named Sushi Kata. It is located just a couple of miles down the road in a strip mall. The portions are generous and the prices very reasonable (many under $6). And the food was wonderful! The waitress was friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed our dinner!

Trustworthy manager
Ive stayed at this hotel every year for a decade during speed skating regionals. The manager is a little different, but he keeps an eye on things, and the place is safe and clean. There are a lot of newer places with amenities, but this one works fine if you just need a decent play to stay.
