Way to much noise!
I would advise not staying at the Elizabeth until the construction right next to it is done. Nothing wrong with the hotel, it is a typical Singapore/near Orchard tourist hotel it is just way to noisy and construction work goes on 7 days a week (Yes even Saturday or Sunday). If you can get them to guarantee you a room away from it, it is worth a stay, if not forget it unless you like getting up really early every day.

Not as expected
Whilst the location of the hotel is easily within walking distance of Orchard Road, I was a little disappointed at how shabby the hotel rooms were. The service and staff were very accommodating. If you want cheap, clean and convenient this may be your place of choice. The website for this hotel was totally unhelpful.

Good price for the Location
Although it is about a 10 minute walk to Orchard Road, The Elizabeth is located on the better side of Orchard -- where the newer and best shops and restaurants are located. Easy access to taxis and train. Service is excellent too!
