Hard Rock, rocks!
Great place, with a fun atmosphere. Good restaurants and bars. The only negative thing is the bathroom area, which had some flaws. The shower, no matter what you do, always floods the bathroom (at least in my room) and the lighting is very poor hard to get ready.

Would go back
Room wasnt spotless, but acceptable. Nice view of the pool. Bar was fun, not the best bar in town, but worth stopping by for a drink or two, or three... Overall, the place is still nice and is kept up pretty well.
The hotel is not on the tram shuttle so getting to the convention center will require a bus or taxi.

Hard Rock is disappointing
My first and last stay at the Hard Rock hotel was a disappointment. The room hallways were dirty and looked like they had not been vacuumed in weeks. When I pulled back the bedspread on one of my beds, it was dirty; it has some type of food or who knows what smeared all over it. The casino is small and plain; nothing to make one want to come back, other than good music over the speakers. Then there are the typical high priced hotel tricks that just tick me off: $50 bottles of shampoo & conditioner in your bathroom. If you crack them open, they charge you $25 per bottle. Way over-priced minibar and snack box , and bottled water in the room. And then there is the in-hotel convenience store where nothing is priced, so you dont know what you are going to pay until the cashier rings it up. For a hotel that is far removed from the strip or any other Vegas attraction, the Hard Rock has little to draw guests or keep guests there... Unless you are going to see Santana.
