Loved the hotel, but shocked at the quality of the free breakfast
This hotel was so convenient. It was literally right across the street. The rooms were small, but very clean and comfortable. There were always parking spots and they had the cheapest daily parking rate. I was very disappointed with the breakfast. The free breakfast is one of the reasons I chose this hotel. I even threw away my coffee. We didnt return for breakfast the next morning. It was kind of funny b/c while you are staring at the small table of food, there is a hotel employee selling breakfast burritos and bottled water. Are you kidding? Anyway, everything was great except for that.

Location is great, Hotel not so great
The hotel staff was friendly the parking and location of the hotel were very convenient. But, once we got in our hotel room it was a different story. There was rust and dirt in the bathroom and the shower did not drain. So, the bathtub will fill up 1/2 through your shower. The toilet did not flush and the linens were very old and gross.

Great location
We enjoyed our stay here for a weekend. On a longer trip, we would want more amenities, such as a hot tub and a better breakfast, but for a quick trip, it was perfect. The workout room was one old exercise bike and some mirrored walls, but we didnt want to work out anyway, since we were getting our exercise walking around Disneyland.. We were in a concierge king, but never saw what the "concierge service" was. Our room did have a lovely bed, robes and slippers, and a tile or marble floor, which is nice for those of us who worry about whats in a hotel/motel carpet. We received coupons for the breakfast sammies, but since those included bacon, which we dont eat, we opted for the cereal and toast. The coffee was good and hot, and the view from the breakfast room is right over Disneyland. Perfect view! One morning the staff let us exchange our coupons for bottled water, but the next day we were told that this was no longer allowed. On our next, longer trip, we will be staying at the Candy Cane Inn, but we did enjoy our stay at the Carousel.
Use the fast passes at Disneyland and California Adventure. We were able to grab a fast pass for Tower of Terror, get in line, ride it, then use our fast passes to immediately ride again. If you are watching carbs or calories, the Rancho del Zocalo at Disneyland allows you to substitute fajita-style veggies for the rice and/or beans on their meals. If Main Street is too crowded for fireworks-watching, they also project the show images on the face of Its a Small World.
