Ok for the Price
I wasnt entirely impressed with this hotel. For the price, it was an ok place to stay. Our bed in the room was very dilapidated as it sunk down to the floor when anyone tried to sit on the edge. The kids enjoyed the "water park", game room and arcade. However,I did feel the arcade games were way overpriced and could have been a little cheaper to accomodate the guests of the hotel. My kids went through $20 very quickly......Also, in the game room, you had to purchase your own ping pong balls to play ping pong and foosball which I felt was insulting...... The proximity of the hotel to LegoLand was great though.

Not good.
I only stayed overnight for a business trip. It was awful. Raw sewage backed up into the bathtubs in both bathrooms. The smell was horrible. They came and fixed the main bathroom (at 9pm), but then later in the night it backed up in the second bathroom leaving a horrible smell in the entire room. I was scared to take a shower because I was worried it would back up while I was in there. I couldnt wait to leave. I was offered no compensation, nothing. The view was nice, the pools seemed family friendly. Thats about the only nice thing I can say.

Great place to stay for families
My wife chose this hotel based on its location and family friendly atmosphere. It was great. The hotel shuttle picked us up at the airport and gave us early check in as well. Nice, clean, comfortable hotel. The pool area is awesome for kids and adults alike. They have a huge pool and hot tub as well as a waterpark like play area for the kids. Legoland is a 10 min walk away. My only gripe is that the "hotel restaurant" is a 3 minute walk outside the hotel. Have the hotels free shuttle take you to downtown Carlsbad for dining and make shuttle reservations as they fill up early.
Kids will love the hotels water play area, arcade and game room. Fill up on food outside legoland as food inside is very pricey. Oh and take your own bottled water into the park its close to $4.00 inside.
