The hotel was definitely a 5-star but...
The hotel great! Definitely a 5-star hotel. Our only problem was that when we arrived to check in at 3pm, our room wasn’t clean yet. We had to call the front desk to have it cleaned. They offered us a new room immediately but after we toted all our items down the hallways, we chose to wait. We would most definitely go back again for those rates.

Exceeded Expectations
Four wonderful days and nights in Seattle. Excellent, helpful staff. Large, comfortable room. Great location, convenient to downtown. Big indoor pool and up to date health club. Overall a busy, yet relaxing stay.
Traveler's tip on saving a few bucks
Save cab fare, the Gray Line Bus service to and from the airport stops right at the Fairmont(and most major downtown hotels), economical and comfortable.

a nice stay.
Our 2 night stay was wonderful. Rooms were charming & aptly decorated. I have 3 complaints: 1- Housekeeping has overlooked a number of things to dust, like the phones, nightstands, lamps & even the bath faucet- were quite dusty. 2- old tv inside armoire could use a better angle for watching in bed. 3- The beds were a little too soft but the linens were great. The staff was very helpful. The indoor pool and hot tub were perfect. Room service had ok food but pricey.
Traveler's tip on dining
Try the Lavender Martini at the Terrace Lounge. Shuckers has happy hour- oysters $1 each vs. $10.99 for 6 elsewhere. Take a walk to Pike Market & the Waterfront- lots of places to eat ! Eat at least once at the Space Needle Restaurant-very pricey but good experience.
