Obscure place with tiny rooms
The hotel looks really nice on the photos, but be aware it doesnt quite reflect the true looks of it. As soon as you pass the front desk it shows its true face - claustrophobic corridors, scary lift and terribly small rooms! On the other hand its likely to be a standard on Manhattan for the rate they offer. Service was nice and pleasant, they offered us to keep the luggage for the whole day with no charge.

Good location; not enough room
The hotel has a great location (near Times Square). It is an old hotel that was nicely renovated. Since it is an old hotel, the rooms are TINY! My roommate and I laid on our twin beds, held hands and touch both walls of the room. There is no coffee anywhere in the hotel (though Starbucks is only 2 blocks away), the beds are hard and our room was on the front of the hotel, so there was constant noise all night. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I would recommend if location is most important. Just be sure to indicate a room in the back of the hotel.
