Great for the price
The hotel staff was great. They were always willing to help and were very friendly. I asked them for directions to the neares grocery story because I needed to pick up a few things. The man I asked didn’t know, so he asked someone else. They quickly told me how to get there and it was confusing. Later, I was walking just out of the lobby and they have a small grocery story right there in the hotel!!! I purchased the couple things I needed, and am still not sure why they didn’t tell me about that. Prices were really high, but I only needed a few things. The room and view was awesome!!! The couch had springs missing, was uncomfortable, and our toilet kept running, but I didn’t want to say anything because of the awesome view. The pool area was fantastic! They do a great job at keeping the area very nice. Overall, our stay was very enjoyable. The things that were wrong were small compared to everything that was right.
The Polynesian Culture Center is awesome. The signs getting there are non existant, so make sure you get good directions. Don’t use map quest for anything on the island except for going across the street, because every time we used it, it left out steps. Also, Peal Harbor. It was amazing.

Great service, great location, great price
Hotel room included a full kitchen, so we were able to save A LOT of money by buying some groceries at the beginning of our stay and eating breakfast and lunch in our room. The hotel staff was extremely courteous and was able to answer all of our "touristy" questions.

not my first choice
Simply put not the best hotel. The Aston chain has nice hotels I was not aware that the difference from location to location ranges from that of a 5 star to a 2 star. The big deal breaker was the quality of the Beds, popcorn ceilings, old carpet, pretty much motel 6 standards not something I look for when booking. The Aston Waikiki Beach however is really pleasant and offers great upgraded rooms and plush beds.
