Our stay was great. The King Kam was under renovations during our stay(Jan,10). The bed towers are very nice, not elaborate. Nice pool and bar area. They were just beginning work on the main floor/lobby areas. It’s a very comfortable place with lots of conveniences for enjoying the ocean area, shops, and restaurants in Kona.

Beautiful newly decorated rooms
We had only one problem - the air conditioning did not work. They are remodeling the hotel lobby now. The room we had was beautiful with everything new, I guess they forgot to connect the air conditioning. I recommend this hotel. Its in a good location, within walking distance to many things.

KING KAM REVIEW
I TRAVEL TO THE BIG ISLAND AROUND 7 OR 8 TIMES PER YEAR, SO GETTING A NICE ROOM FOR A MODERATE PRICE IS IMPORTANT, WHICH IS THE CASE AT THIS HOTEL, AND THE NEWLY RENOVATED ROOMS, AND ALTHOUGH THE KING KAM IS UNDERGOING RENOVATION WHICH IS AN INCONVENIENCE FROM TIME TO TIME, THE POOL AREA IS BEAUTIFUL AND THE PEOPLE ARE ALWAYS VERY NICE AND HELPFUL AND THE LOCATION IS RIGHT NEXT TO THE NEW PIER WHICH IS SORT OF THE HUB OF THE AREA, AND WALKING DISTANCE TO A LOT OF THE SHOPS AND EATERIES AND BARS IN THE AREA.
