expensive water taxi!
The only way to get around Venice without dragging your luggage up and down the bridges was riding the water taxi. But it’s so expensive. We paid $80 Euro to get from the Cruise Terminal to the Hotel and $100 Euro to get to the Airport from the Hotel. For only one night stay it’s way too much!

Convenience & Comfort in Venice
Hotel Giorgione is a comfortable palace in a city of palaces, not only a convenient walk to San Marco, but also to both sides of the island. The hotel staff was courteous and met all our needs including checking and printing out a train schedule for us. Although small, the room we were given was beautifully decorated with art and well cared for antique furniture as well as a large comfortable bed. After walking through the beautiful streets of Venice for hour on end, the luxurious bathtub was greatly appreciated for soaking tired bones and muscles!

Charming place to stay while in Venice
Beautiful, older, well kept hotel...extreemly friendly and helpful staff that spoke English. Nice continental breakfast. The room was a bit tiny, but doable. Having the helpful staff more than made up for the smallness of the room.
