Book early - - Save Hundreds!

We booked months in advance, and saved a ton. Front desk willing to help. We were given upgraded room at NO extra cost for 4-nite stay ... without asking! Rooms smell clean and fresh, tear-down w/candy each nite. Wonderfull location(walk to almost anything w/in 4 minutes). I will stay again, as log as I can book early and save $

great location

This hotel was so clean and the staff was very helpful and courteous. It is in a super location. The beds were so comfortable. I will definitely return.

Great time to go in October. Central Park was beautiful and walking through all the neighborhoods was awesome. Do not waste your money on Tavern on the Green. Food was not good and the cost was ridiculous. Pretty location to sit and have a drink.

Always a good stay at the Michaelangelo

Great location for tourists. Easy walk to Times Square, Central Park, 5th Ave and Rockafeller Center. Never had any issues with the service or the room when we’ve stayed there, and the price was good comparable to other hotels in the Midtown area. We visit NYC every year and always try to stay here.

Great Theater Location

The Michelangelo was a lovely hotel, remodeled with clean beiges, comfortable rooms, massage showerhead, great restaurant, turndown service with chocolates. Only 1 Internet terminal that you had to stand at...but that’s so you get off quick. We were on third floor on 51st street side. Double pane glass kept street noise "mostly" quiet, BUT the morning the garbage truck arrived at 5am and worked just under our window for two hours, was NOT pleasant. Try for a higher floor (there are only 8 floors). Half block from Stardust Diner with great breakfasts and singing wait staff. FUN.

Great Hotel in NYC

My husband and I love the Michelangelo. Location is perfect for what ever you have planned. Shopping, Theater and great dining are all steps away. The Michelangelo has great service. Several members of the staff have been there 12 or more years. James the concierge has been a big help planning my trips to NYC. Call and talk with him a few weeks before your trip and he will help with your dinner reservations. We have stayed there 3 times and he has been a huge help with dinner reservations and suggestions for things to do each time. The bed was wonderful, very comfortable. The Michelangelo is just perfect!

We saw a new Broadway show called "Memphis" it was great.

Great Hotel

Like all nice New York City Hotels this does not come cheap, but the rates through Expedia were competitive. We were upgraded to a suite (nice), but from a hall peek-in it looks like the standard rooms were nice sized. What this hotel has is location. Walking distance to most everything including an easy subway ride to Battery Park and Ground Zero. Hotel staff was helpful, breakfast of croissants, scones (no butter or jam offered) and coffee, tea and cappuccino (available free on request) was enough to get you started in the morning. There is no doubt that we would return to this hotel.

Super Hotel For Broadway Stay

Very nice clean hotel. Definitely will return. The hotel is very close to many Broadway theathers. The staff is very responsive.....especially the concierge! He is a wealth of knowledge...I watched him help many guest in a very responsible manner. If you like Indian food....try Nana....a few blocks East on 51st. Maybe the best lunch special I have ever seen at $12.

A great location

The hotel was in a great location. Our room was large and clean and the lobby was beautiful. We didn’t realize until we checked in that continental breakfast in the hotel restaurant was included, which was a plus. The concierge recommended a great Italian restaurant for an early dinner.

Excellent location and accomodations

A lovely hotel in a great location. European boutique style hotel. Service was solid. There was a line for breakfast in the hotel restaurant in the morning with an hour wait. We went outside to eat although breakfast was included in our room rate.

Traveler's tip on nightlife

Great location for theatre goers and foodies. Walking distance to all the major attactions and fine restaurants.

The Michelangelo is a gem

This is our preferred hotel when we travel to New York City and it never disappoints. It is quiet, gracious, and luxurious. The location is perfect for theatre-going and Rockefeller Center and MOMA are nearby.

Perfect Location

We have stayed at the Michelangelo 3 times because it has the perfect location for theatre, museums, shopping and walking in the park. We like small hotels without any covention traffic and this fits the bill and there is coffee sitting out in the lobby every morning to get you going. Be careful and don’t get the room that looks out on the blue neon sign across the street.

Would definitely go back to this hotel. The front desk was nice and the rooms were very clean. We did not eat there so can’t say how the food was.

Would go back

This hotel was one of the nicer hotels we have stayed at in New York as far as cleanliness and size. Everyone was very friendly at the hotel including the front desk! If you stay in a room along 7th Ave it is very loud and for us it was kind of hard to get to sleep but it didn’t really wake us up once we got to sleep.

Traveler's tip on dining

I would recommend Del Frisco’s for dinner, excellent food both times we have been there!

HIdden treasure

The Michelangelo continues to be our choice for theatre district hotel in NYC. The rooms are spacious, the staff are polite and helpful, and the breakfast coffee bar suits our needs. The air conditioner/heater fan is a little loud, but that’s my only complaint.

Great Hotel

This hotel was great, wonderful, etc. We will try and use this hotel again when we go to NYC if we can get as good a deal as we did w/ Expedia this time around. The staff was great and friendly and the room was one of the best we’ve ever stayed at in the city.

Very Classy Hotel in New York

We have stayed in a number of New York hotels and this one was a great surprise. When we arrived our room wasn’t ready and after having lunch we came back and they upgraded us to a mini suite. It was extremely nice of them and the lobby and bar area was very plush. I can’t wait to go back again.

Amazing, as always!

This hotel is the only hotel I will stay in when I visit the city. It is extremely clean, the staff is amazing, the rooms are large and beautiful. It is quiet, and central to everything! It feels like a nice relaxing place to be after the hussle and bussle of the city, while the other hotels make you feel like you are still in the middle of it all with thier busy lobbys, and tons of people everywhere, not here...it’s great! Not enough good things to say. It is our home away from home!!!

Traveler's tip on local attractions

See Mamma Mia, we just saw it for the first time. It is only 1 block from the hotel and it was an amazing show. You can get tickets from the TCKS Booth for half off on most days!

Wonderfully quiet

This was our second visit and the second time we were happily surprised with an upgrade. The lobby was being renovated during our two night stay, but it really made no difference as far as noise. We had a 6th floor room facing the Winter Garden and after Mama Mia ended, we would see the actors come out for autographs. Can’t remember any street noise at night, just a thunderstorm. Walking distance to everywhere we wanted to go. Will go back again.

What a great place to stay

This is one of the great theater district places to stay. Best of several I’ve used in the last 6 months. Well worth the slightly higher price (and we got upgraded to a junior suite so got more than we thought). Lovely big room, very nice service. A genuine hotel with all the amenities, but not one of the big convention sites around there that can overwhelm you. We’ve already recommended it to several people looking for a midtown treat. Lobby was undergoing renovation, but there was no noticable extra noise or disruption.
